On July 5th and 6th, we took part in the goods collection campaign organized by Banco Alimentar Angola – a moment of sharing, solidarity, and commitment to the community. This initiative, over the years, has actively contributed to social causes, with particular focus on fighting hunger and promoting solidarity among the most vulnerable communities. Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the Quilemba Solar Power Plant
On May 16, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Quilemba Solar Power Plant took place in Lubango — highlighted as the largest private solar plant in the country. With an initial capacity of 35 MWp and a total of 80 MWp, the project will supply electricity to around 40,000 households in the region. Quilemba Solar is the result of a joint partnership between TotalEnergies, Sonangol and Maurel & Prom, with the project execution entrusted to Enerline, in partnership with EnergyCon. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Governor of Huíla for the Political and Social sector, Maria João Chipalavela, representing Governor Nuno Bernabé Mahapi Dala, who presided over the event’s opening. In her speech, she highlighted the project as an example of joint commitment to sustainable development and the energy transition. Also present were the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso, the French Ambassador to Angola, Sophie Aubert, as well as representatives from the Regulatory Institute for Electricity and Water Services (IRSEA), the National Transmission Grid (RNT), and other entities. Enerline Participates in the 13th Advisory Council of MINEIA
The 13th Advisory Council of MINEIA took place on September 19 and 20 of the current year, at the Venâncio de Moura Academy in Luanda, under the theme “Energy and Water – Challenges and Solutions for the Expansion and Sustainability of the Sector.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Energy and Water, in coordination with PRODEL-EP, with Enerline as one of its sponsors. The objective of this event was to assess the level of compliance with the recommendations from the 12th Advisory Council, as well as to bring together professionals from the Energy and Water Sector. During the meeting, it was highlighted that Luanda has an average electricity service coverage of 72%. In addition, projects nearing completion in the electricity sector were mentioned, which will make business activity less costly and improve the quality of life for families living far from the city center of Luanda. Secretary of State for Energy’s Visit
Yesterday, June 13, the Secretary of State for Energy, Engineer Arlindo Carlos, carried out a technical visit to the construction fronts of the Electrification Project of the Villages of Calulo and South of Conda. He was received at the Municipal Administration of Libolo by Administrator Rui Miguel and Enerline staff, where the project was presented by our colleague Márico Kassuca, Project Director. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of the works and the situation of other communities in Calulo that have not yet been reached by electricity. The visit continued with an inspection of the conditions of the Calulo substation and subsequently the distribution line construction sites, before moving today towards Kibala. It is expected that this project will reach 98% completion by December of the current year, and that energy access in this region can be further expanded with other projects. Luanda, June 7, 2024
Engineering Week at ISPTEC
From May 22 to 24, the Engineering Week took place at the Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences (ISPTEC), with the aim of fostering the university–industry link and reflecting on an academic training more focused on the current and future challenges of the engineering profession. The Technological Week of the Engineering Courses provided a space for academic and professional debates in the field of Engineering, thus contributing to the enhancement of students’ knowledge through workshops, short courses, lectures, round tables, competitions, technical visits to production units, among other academic activities. Enerline had the opportunity to present its projects and interact with various entities, including student groups, companies, professors, and other participants. Open Day ISPTEC
On April 12, we welcomed Mechanical Engineering students from the Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences (ISPTEC) to visit the Laúca–Bita transmission line project. During the visit, the students were guided by our engineers, who shared detailed information about the project. They had the opportunity to closely observe the ongoing work, examine the materials used, and gain a better understanding of how the concepts learned in the classroom are applied in practice, offering them a real perspective of being on-site. The company remains committed to supporting education and the professional development of the student community, and we are honored to provide this experience. Lecture at Agostinho Neto University – Environment, Quality and Safety in Engineering Projects
Today, a lecture on Environment, Quality and Safety in Engineering Projects took place at Agostinho Neto University. The event, led by our colleague Matantu Luzaiadio, brought together engineering students and faculty members. During the lecture, participants gained insights into crucial aspects related to the topic under discussion, namely best practices, current standards, and successful cases of safety measures adopted by the company. The event was marked by a collaborative learning environment, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and connect academic learning with the professional market. This initiative provided a valuable exchange of knowledge and strengthened the ties between the University and Enerline, with the prospect of promoting further mutual knowledge-sharing opportunities in the future. Warming Hearts Solidarity Campaign
The Warming Hearts solidarity initiative is already a reality! With the aim of spreading human warmth and support, on March 8 we delivered goods to the Casa do Gaiato in Malanje. Welcomed with great joy and appreciation, the children sang songs that also warmed our hearts. During the Warming Hearts campaign, our team came together in a gesture of solidarity to donate warm clothing, toys, and other essential items to support the children of the home. It was a touching demonstration of unity and empathy, where each contribution represented an act of love and generosity. The Casa do Gaiato in Malanje was just the beginning of our solidarity journey — more projects are on the way, and we count on everyone’s support! Luanda, March 11, 2024
